Privacy
The short version
This site does not set cookies, does not run analytics, and does not carry any JavaScript of its own. There is nothing on these pages that identifies you or follows you between them.
What actually happens when you load a page
Your browser requests an HTML file from a content delivery network. That network keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for operational and security purposes. We do not read those logs to build any picture of individual visitors.
Two kinds of third party request are made by the pages themselves.
- Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Google receives the request and applies its own privacy terms to it.
- Video thumbnails. Thumbnail images are loaded from YouTube's image servers at i.ytimg.com. Loading an image is a request to Google's servers.
On individual video pages there is also a YouTube embed, which is a standard YouTube player in an iframe and is subject to YouTube's own terms and data practices. That is the only embedded player anywhere on this site, it is set to load lazily, and it is not present on listing pages.
The email list
If you submit an email address through the form on this site, that address is stored so that we can send you what you asked for. It is not sold, shared or used for anything else. Ask and it will be deleted.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. In practice the only personal data this site holds is an email address you gave it voluntarily, and you can have it removed on request.
